Pores are openings in the skin that release oil and sweat. When pores produce excess oil or become clogged, they can become enlarged and appear more visible. Since men tend to have oilier skin than women, men are more likely to have visibly enlarged pores. With age, skin loses elasticity and collagen, which also causes pores to become visibly enlarged.

While you cannot tighten or shrink pores, you can help them appear less visible by controlling excess oil and cleansing away impurities, which can cause clogged pores. Wash your face twice a day and look for skincare formulas that are non-comedogenic (which means they will not clog pores). On the go, use a men’s facial toner spray to help visibly minimize pores and refresh skin.

Exfoliate regularly with a men’s facial scrub to help remove dirt, oil and debris. Be careful not to use hot water or overly scrub your skin which can cause it to become irritated. Several times a week, use a clay mask to help detoxify and purify skin.
